Miksetovanje
Miksetovanje is a free audio production course organised by Glazbena sekcija KSET-a. The organiser wanted a simple, vintage-inspired design with elements from old tech catalogs.
Inspiration
The inspiration for this project came from vintage audio equipment catalogs, instruction manuals, and magazine layouts from the analog era. These references influenced the use of structured grids, understated typography, and edited technical imagery. The goal was not to replicate a specific period, but to capture the practical, instructional feel of these materials and translate it into a contemporary visual identity that reflects the hands-on nature of audio production.
My role
I created the visual identity for the course, which other designers continued in future instances of the course. I created announcement posts for social media, posters, a presentation deck, course schedule and diplomas which were handed out at the end of the course.
Conclusion
The Miksetovanje visual identity successfully combined vintage inspiration with modern clarity, creating a design that feels both nostalgic and functional. By focusing on simple layouts, retro typography, and references to classic audio equipment, the project communicated the course’s focus on traditional audio techniques while remaining accessible and easy to reproduce. The system was built to be flexible, allowing future designers to continue the visual language without losing consistency. Overall, the identity helped establish Miksetovanje as a recognizable, enduring course that celebrates the craft of audio production.
