Honey HypeBox
The HypeBox is an illuminated, transparent touchscreen display that can hold various products for an interactive display. I created a unique shopping experience for a beekeeping farm (OPG) and imagined the box showcasing a selection of honey-related products on a shelf. This concept aimed to combine a real-world product display with an engaging, interactive digital experience, ideal for showcasing at a market. Given the touchscreen's transparency, I creatively used dark brown tones to "hide" parts of the box that I didn’t want to distract from the main products, allowing the beekeeping items to stand out clearly.
Designing the experience
I developed the interactive design in Figma, keeping the interface was simple yet intuitive for users interacting with the touchscreen. I focused on organizing the beekeeping products in a way that was visually engaging, making them easy to explore. By strategically using colors and layout, I created a balance between functionality and aesthetics. The design allowed users to interact with the products and learn more about them while ensuring the display was clean and focused. The use of the transparent touchscreen added an extra layer of creativity, which I leveraged to enhance the user experience and make the design stand out.
User interaction
The interactive nature of the HypeBox encourages visitors to actively explore the product range rather than passively observe it. Touch interactions allow users to focus on individual items, supporting curiosity and longer engagement times. This approach helps transform a brief fair encounter into a memorable experience, increasing the likelihood of product interest and brand recall.
Project conclusion
The HypeBox project demonstrates how an illuminated, transparent touchscreen can be effectively adapted to showcase beekeeping products in a fair environment. By combining physical products with a carefully designed digital interface, the concept enhances visibility, engagement, and storytelling while addressing the visual challenges of transparent displays. The use of dark, natural tones helps maintain focus on the products and reinforces the identity of the beekeeping farm. Overall, the project presents a flexible and modern exhibition solution that supports small producers in standing out and communicating their value more effectively.
