Brucošijada FER-a
This project was about creating a visual identity for Brucošijada FER-a, a one-day festival held for FER's freshmen every November. The design features pixel art which was a huge challenge, but proved to be very rewarding when done right.
The challenge
One of the biggest challenges was creating pixel art at scale while keeping it consistent and readable across different formats. Each social media post, poster, and printed material required attention to detail, especially because pixel art can quickly become cluttered or lose its charm if not carefully executed. Balancing creativity with clarity was essential, and refining the designs often required multiple iterations to get the right look for both digital and print media.
My role in the project
I designed and implemented the visual identity across all social media posts and print materials. I created the color palette, chose the typography and decided on main motives. I designed various posters and banners, three lineup announcements, tickets, stickers, announcements for Brucistar, Votafak Stejđ and Kongres Kolektiv, sponsor packages and many more social media posts. Since this is a big project, I managed a team of 6 designers to ensure all materials were consistent in design.
Team leadership and collaboration
Managing a team of six designers was key to delivering such a large-scale project on time. I organized a workshop to teach the specific pixel art techniques, provided ongoing mentorship and supervised the entire process to maintain consistency in our designs. I coordinated deadlines, reviewed my team members' designs and gave feedback during the whole project. This allowed the team to work efficiently while upholding the quality of the festival’s visual identity across all channels.
