Beyond Sound vol. 3
Beyond Sound is a series of photography exhibitions showcasing live music and artistic perspectives at Grif Bar in Zagreb. This time, the focus is on KSET’s Photography Section, who are presenting their work, capturing the best moments at concerts through photography. The members of the section are continuing the tradition of analog photography through their dedication and craft, while also embracing and exploring modern digital photography techniques.
Inspiration
The main inspiration for the design came directly from the photographs themselves. I wanted the images to take center stage so the design was kept minimal, creating a frame that highlights each photo without distraction. By building the design around the photos, the exhibition maintains a cohesive look while celebrating the work of KSET’s Photography Section.
My role
I created the visual identity for the exhibition and applied it across multiple formats, including social media posts, printed posters, and a booklet for the event. The design was kept minimal to let the photographs take center stage, while maintaining a cohesive and recognizable look across all materials.
Conclusion
The design for Beyond Sound Vol. 3 successfully highlighted the work of KSET’s Photo Section while creating a cohesive and visually engaging experience across social media, posters, and the exhibition booklet. By keeping the design minimal and building it around the photographs, the project allowed the images to claim the spotlight. The result was a design that supported the exhibition’s goal of celebrating both analog and digital photography and connecting with the local music and arts community.
